I traveled with my family and enjoyed an amazing two-night stay at Asanka Surf House & Restaurant. the budget room with a bathroom was comfortable, and the location was stunning, situated in a lovely area close to several restaurants, beautiful nature, and Midigama's main beach.

Asanka Surf House exceeded our expectations in every way! The location was absolutely breathtaking, with a pristine beach and crystal clear sea just steps away. We were pleasantly surprised by how helpful and kind the owner and his family were. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable stay. From helping us find a surfing school to arranging whale-watching and cooking lessons, they took care of everything. Asanka even personally drove us to Udawalawe and Ella, adding an incredible touch to our experience. The friendly atmosphere at the surf house made us feel right at home. The food was delicious, especially the avocado sandwich and papaya juice. We also loved the yoga classes offered on-site. we highly recommend this place for its exceptional hospitality and its proximity to the best surf spots and local amenities. We loved the unique experience of crossing a bridge and railway to get to the beach, it felt like something out of a movie. Plus, being just a 5-minute walk from the wild beach made it the perfect location for us and our children.

This budget hotel has a great location right next to the beach, making it a convenient choice for surfers and beach lovers. the staff is friendly and accommodating, even allowing us to check in at 3am without any issues. the included breakfast was delicious and the other food options were also very tasty. the rooms, although basic, are clean and comfortable, with clean sheets and towels provided. there are plenty of areas to relax, such as hammocks and a pool.

Be aware that the train track runs directly next to the hotel, so there may be some noise when the train passes by.
